It’s rather unusual for a Dutchie in his/her thirties not being able to swim. Yet, I am one of those people. I was pleased to find out my local gym offers swimming lessons for adults and I decided to register for class. That was exactly one year ago. After having made up excuses for 12 years, I gathered my courage and signed up for swimming lessons yesterday. Follow my progress here.
About a year ago my hubby had his eyesight tested because he wanted to take up driving lessons. It turned out that he indeed needed glasses, but we were also told he has rather high eye pressure which could lead to gradual eyesight loss. After hubby’s discovery I decided to also have an eye test done.
Happy Valentine’s to all love birds out there! Don’t expect a sugary post from me as I am rather like the Scrooge of Valentine’s. Three years ago things changed dramatically when hubby asked me to marry him.
Today we celebrate Mother’s Day in the Netherlands. This year instead of giving my mum flowers, a book or anything else she might actually enjoy, I wanted to dedicate a blog post to her and show the world what an extraordinary woman raised me.
